Good relationships require well-considered policies. Here are a few of the many tenant policy questions you'll want to ask:
• How will you schedule use of common facilities such as conference rooms?
• Are you going to charge your tenants for common area costs, or will those be included in their rents?
• Whose responsibility will it be -- yours or tenants' -- to perform common maintenance, such as sweeping the front sidewalks?
